Sneaking Sketches

I’ll keep this rather short. It has been four days since I got back from a trip to the southern part of the country.  And with that, I attempted to do some urban sketching. I planned to sketch a lot during the trip, that’s why I brought my art kit with me, however, the nature of our activities was not conducive enough to do some sketching.

My first sketch for that week was during our wait in the airport. A few days before, we were notified that our flight will be moved about an hour earlier. However due to traffic – well, lots of people are going to the provinces for the holidays- our flight got delayed. Funny thing is that, it went back to the original schedule that we booked.

The second one was during the Christmas party in mom’s church. While the church members , both young and old, are playing games and performing songs, acrostics, etc. I sat there doodling.

I mostly capture sights using my camera since it was faster that way. I didn’t have much control on how long to stay or what to do since I am travelling with other people. So yeah, this is pretty much what I’ve drawn during that trip.

The first artwork is made using Zig Transparent Watercolors and Unipin Fine Line pens (0.05,0.1, 0.3, and 0.5) on watercolor paper. The second is drawn using Sakura Koi brush pens,  and Unipin Fine Line pens (0.05,0.1, 0.3, and 0.5) on watercolor paper. All artworks are created by Zai/The Eclectic Miss unless stated otherwise.
