Inktober 2018: Goddesses and Inks

For this year’s Inktober Challenge, I attempted to merge the official prompts with this set from @facesanddolls. At first, I was able to create something out of two prompt words. However, as the month became swamped with work and projects, I decided to just focus on this list.

Throughout the challenge, I struggled between creating very detailed works or keeping it cleaner and simple. There were also changes on how I line my works and which pen is used in some parts. Somehow, I think I managed to make the style look consistent.

One hurdle for this challenge is trying to show the difference between the goddesses. For those I’ve learned of just that month, I needed to study more to know the story and background or whether they have a certain look or emblem.

Learning their stories can help you depict different moods and emotions in the sketch and not just make them pose.

Of course, I had fun working with the goddesses, I’m familiar with because I did not need to research as much. Though, I did a little mix up with Athena and Artemis.
