I can’t believe that has only been a year since I started this blog. To celebrate the first year anniversary of this blog, allow me to look back to memories from the previous year.
2016 has been full of travel and new experiences. I have always wanted to document my travels and activities through art. Last year, I tried, in as much as I can, to make it possible.

It was in 2016 when I first travelled overseas – and I did it solo. It took weeks of planning and research. And in March, I found myself in Malacca, “The Historic State” of Malaysia and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

To attend the wedding of a dear friend, I packed my bags for a three province trip in Visayas. From Manila, we flew to Dumaguete, then took the ferry to Siquijor. The whole day, before our trip back to Manila via Cebu, we visited the tourist spots of the island province. Cambugahay Falls is definitely a favorite spot.
Before our flight back to Manila, we found time to go around the country’s oldest and first capital city, Cebu City where we made it a point to drop by the iconic Magellan’s Cross.
Those mentioned above are among the few places I have been to the past year. In the later part of the year, we visited tourist destinations in Surigao del Sur like the Tinuy-an Falls, International Doll House and the Hinatuan Enchanted River. I haven’t worked on the sketches for those places as my schedule has been rather hectic lately.
I hope, soon, I can get the time to work on those.. and more.
The artworks are made using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors on watercolor paper. All artworks are created by Zai/The Eclectic Miss unless stated otherwise.
